Job Summary
Oversee daily accounting operations including reconciliation of rooms, food, beverage, and house deposits; manage accounts receivable, credit card chargebacks, and bank deposits. Conduct daily income audits, process payroll, and submit corporate financial reports. Monitor front office and night audit agents for accounting compliance, train night audit personnel, and assist the Director of Finance and General Manager in reviewing general ledgers. Maintain petty cash, special operating accounts, and inventory controls while ensuring strict adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Work a flexible schedule with minimum 47.5 hours weekly, reporting to the Director of Finance and GM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- Associate's degree and at least 3 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office operating system ability to manipulate and troubleshoot spreadsheets type memos and reports and handle basic PC problems
- Supervisor experience
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
