Job Summary
Prepare annual budgets, FF&E budgets, and rolling forecasts while providing accurate financial and management reports to hotel management, corporate office, and owners. Analyze and interpret financial data to communicate meaningful variations in operations, ensure adequate cash flow, and approve all cash disbursements, rebates, adjustments, and allowances. Verify accruals, maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, and prepare tax returns in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Supervise day-to-day accounting staff, oversee training and development, and conduct monthly departmental meetings to communicate pertinent information. Manage capital processes, fixed assets, lease contracts, and credit collection procedures while ensuring adherence to corporate policies and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Accounting & Finance
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a senior finance position
- Familiarity with financial systems: OPERA, MICROS/SYMPHONY, SUN, HYPERION, FUTURE LOG
- Must willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks
- Must have commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures
- Must have a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality, and work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
