Job Summary
Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and safety of Hotel Drover's physical plant by supervising engineering activities, managing work orders, and ensuring building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical operate efficiently. Administer preventative maintenance programs, support budgeting for operating and capital expenditures, and conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and grounds to uphold brand standards and compliance with all regulations. Serve as technical liaison for hotel departments, contractors, and vendors while evaluating new technologies and ensuring team members are properly trained on equipment and safety procedures. Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays to respond to emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering, facilities, maintenance, or related professional area
- Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, and/or plumbing
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance programs, and life safety operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices
Desired Qualifications
- Prior hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality facilities leadership experience
- Supervisory or management experience within an Engineering or Facilities department
- Construction, renovation, or capital project experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment
