Assistant Director of Electronic Resources Management

Job Summary

Lead planning, acquisition, licensing, assessment, and lifecycle management for the library's electronic resources while supervising the Access & Discovery Librarian. Manage an annual budget exceeding $2 million through financial analysis, expenditure tracking, and long-term planning. Negotiate licenses and vendor agreements with publishers and university stakeholders. Oversee reporting and data management using COUNTER/SUSHI standards and library analytics tools. Collaborate across the Hunt and Hazy Libraries to ensure seamless access to electronic resources and support authentication and discovery services. Work regular business hours on the Daytona Beach campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS/MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience managing electronic resources, budgets, and workflows in an academic library
  • Experience negotiating electronic resource licenses and vendor agreements
  • Experience with library management and discovery systems such as Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE (or comparable)
  • Experience with authentication platforms such as OpenAthens
  • Experience with COUNTER/SUSHI standards
  • Experience with collection assessment and analytics tools (e.g., Alma Analytics and CELUS)
  • Experience with enterprise financial management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and other campus stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-campus environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience working in a multi-campus academic library environment
  • Experience with collection assessment, cost-per-use analysis, or evidence-based collection development
  • Project management experience
