Job Summary
Prepare sanctuary for Sunday, holiday, and special event liturgies while maintaining vestments, supplies, and overseeing tomb operations. Coordinate with janitors, florists, and lectors to ensure readiness for Masses, ordinations, and other diocesan events. Serve as Pontifical Master of Ceremonies and chauffer for the Bishop, managing files for liturgical functions and recruiting/training liturgical ministers. Maintain sacramental records, manage the diocesan warehouse, and program workshops for pastors. Recruit and train liturgical ministers. Maintain ministerial and sacramental records. Maintain sacristies and chapels. Program and coordinate liturgical conferences. Work majority of weekends, many evenings, and some holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience as sacristan and altar server
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Office-based with local travel required for diocesan liturgies and parish support
- Must be available to work majority of weekends, many evenings, and some holidays
