Job Summary

Manage Harvard College and Radcliffe alumni classes for reunions and non-reunion fundraising, securing capital and annual support from alumni while developing class-wide fundraising plans and individual prospect strategies. Solicit leadership- and associates-level gifts, survey top donor prospects, and coordinate volunteer committees to maximize participation results. Establish reunion gift campaign calendars, set goals, monitor metrics, and conduct committee meetings to drive engagement. Enlist and steward key class leaders, guide diverse representation conversations, and make solicitation assignments to close gifts and document pledges. Direct a full-time Development Assistant and collaborate with major gifts, gift planning, and alumni association teams to advance FAS priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in university fundraising and administration or related transferable experience
  • Travel expectations required: approximately 15-20 percent of working days on the road
  • Some event and weekend work required
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and databases
  • Knowledge of academic communities
  • Demonstrated success in annual or capital giving
  • Applicable ability, writing fundraising materials

  • Ability to comply with the University's Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts
