Assistant Director of Clinical Operations

Job Summary

Monitor operational activities, coordinate clinical and non-clinical policies, and ensure compliance with legislative, legal, and regulatory requirements including Joint Commission, AAHC, and CMS standards. Support the Director in researching emerging technologies, maintaining staffing levels, and developing strategies for operational integrity across departments. Serve as a patient safety and infection control resource, liaise with the CDC and Quality Net, and manage relationships with vendors, physicians, and management teams. Facilitate the creation of new programs, assist in opening facilities, and oversee workers compensation activities while balancing individual and team responsibilities. Work a flexible schedule with up to 100% travel required, utilizing problem-solving skills to address situational issues and maintain high-level product knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a related field of study
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a health care environment
  • Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
  • Prior experience working with Joint Commission, Accreditation for Ambulatory Health Care (AAHC), or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) standards and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public
  • Ability to work individually as well as within a team
  • Ability to effectively lead a team of healthcare professionals
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Desired Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Two (2) years' experience managing an infection control and safety program
  • Two (2) years' experience working in a Hospital and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting
