Job Summary

Co-manage Global Fellows summer internship program including student recruitment, employer partnerships and internship placement; advise students individually on career issues, resume and job search strategies; provide program support for international students (resources, events/workshops); co-manage Wallis Annenberg Innovation internship program including securing industry partners and grant proposal management; support experiential education programs (Maymesters, Spring Break Career Immersions); coordinate alumni career panels; support department programming (Lunch with Leaders, Career Treks, Alumni Panels, company info sessions); hire and supervise one student employee to focus on international student support; requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in counseling/higher education or related field; strong knowledge of federal immigration regulations, employer recruiting strategies, job market trends, and employment information sources; excellent professionalism, attention to detail, and communication/public-speaking skills; demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and exercising diplomacy and discretion; USC equal opportunity employer statement included.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience in counseling and human resources in corporate or higher education environment, or similar industry
  • Leadership and guidance skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • In-depth knowledge of federal immigration regulations and how they apply to international students
  • Advanced knowledge of employer recruiting strategies, job market trends, and employment resources
  • Superior professionalism and attention to detail with strong written and oral communication, presentation, and public-speaking skills
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with diverse individuals and groups, diplomacy, good judgment, and discretion
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Education, Counseling or related field
  • Administrative experience with graduate/undergraduate populations in a university environment
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures
