Job Summary

Conduct one-on-one career coaching for undergraduate, graduate, and alumni students focused on business administration, entrepreneurship, finance, and accounting. Implement workshops, employer site visits, and industry panels while partnering with College of Business Administration faculty to develop professional development resources. Coordinate large-scale networking events and recruit alumni speakers to cultivate experiential opportunities and student interest in business careers. Manage and mentor 2-5 Peer Advisors or Graduate Assistants, training them to host career readiness programs and develop content. Teach courses related to internship and job preparedness for business-focused students. Contribute to campus-wide committees and represent the university in national and regional professional associations.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years of academic advising, career development, counseling, or coaching students within the business field or related area
  • Demonstrated knowledge of career development/counseling theories and methods
  • Knowledge of business career fields and opportunities for experiential learning
  • Knowledge of the academic environment and high-impact career practices
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, administrators, campus partners, and employers
  • Public presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player with solid interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred experience working with undergraduate students
  • Familiarity with career development/counseling theories and methods
  • Specialized knowledge of the business administration fields
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated computer competency
  • Knowledge of Workday
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of database management and systems including career-oriented systems (Handshake and Jobscan)
  • Event planning and production skills
