Job Summary
The Assistant Athletic Director supports the Athletic Director by organizing, supervising, and coordinating the interscholastic athletic program, including field scheduling, rentals, field maintenance, and game supervision. Responsibilities include supervising athletic staff and coaches, overseeing Middle School Sports Programming, coordinating transportation for away events, approving vouchers and payments, managing event setup and coverage, and collaborating with facilities to plan field maintenance. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience in sports management and field maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree Preferred; Teaching experience and experience coaching at the varsity high school level are preferred. Experience in athletic administration a plus.
- Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience using MUNIS and SchoolDude Software is considered a plus
- Experience in sports management
- Experience in turf management / including both natural and artificial turf/playability of fields, condition, and maintenance
