Job Summary
Lead the design and execution of end-to-end student-to-young alumni engagement strategies spanning undergraduate years through the first decade of alumni life. Develop measurable initiatives that strengthen belonging and institutional connections while overseeing digital platforms including social media and Engage.CMC. Manage volunteer committees and coordinate logistics for key alumni programming, including regional relocations and early career networking events. Provide strategic leadership for career engagement initiatives in partnership with campus stakeholders and support the operations of the Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- A valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under the College's authorized driver's policy
- A high level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office software and Adobe Creative Suite
- The ability to learn and adapt to new software
- Superior organizational skills and an ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Detail-oriented
- Goal-oriented management skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and professionally with student employees and volunteers
- Flexibility and the ability to juggle competing priorities and support numerous initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interface professionally with alumni, parents, administration, faculty, and students from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- The ability to work effectively with volunteers, the donor community, the academic community, and colleagues
- Exceptional professional writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Strong verbal skills

- The ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required

Desired Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in a selective, private higher education external relations environment
- Volunteer management experience
- Experience with database functions and queries, particularly with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge
