Job Summary
Oversee the entire Housekeeping Department, including rooms, front/back of house, and laundry, ensuring operations align with Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Manage daily activities by monitoring leadership, conducting weekly walk-throughs with the General Manager, and facilitating staff meetings to drive guest service scores. Handle administrative duties such as preparing associate schedules, vouchering invoices, and maintaining key control systems while responding to emergency situations using M.S.D. sheets. Coordinate with the Director to establish departmental standards, review guest request logs, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and brand regulations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
