Job Summary
Manage and supervise staff to ensure policies, procedures, and staffing requirements from upper management, the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities, and Medicaid are followed. Oversee all logistical aspects of the Day Program, including creating efficient transportation schedules, managing staff rosters, approving PTO, and conducting regular staff meetings. Maintain client and program records such as progress notes, individual plans, and vehicle logs while adhering to established budget guidelines. Act as a liaison between the Central Office, Group Homes, families, and support coordinators to advocate for participants' needs and self-expression. Monitor medication administration, assist with personal hygiene care when necessary, and implement skill development strategies for individual client growth. Cooperate with licensee and Department staff during inspections or investigations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of management or leadership experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong computer skills
- Successful administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with complex calendar management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc.)
- Proven professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Must be able to successfully complete all NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities mandated trainings within the first 120 days of employment
- The requirements for checks of Criminal Background, Central Registry, Child Abuse Registry, and Drug Testing must be completed prior to working with any clients in the Day Program or Residential Program
