Job Summary
Assistant Director, Cancer at NACCHO leads the NACCHO Cancer team to deliver quality cancer program outcomes, coordinating stakeholder collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and government partners. Responsibilities include liaising with organizations to plan and deliver cancer programs and policy initiatives, conducting complex data analysis and horizon scanning, preparing high-quality written information and workforce training materials, and supervising the NACCHO Cancer Team across a broad range of activities. The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, the ability to manage competing requests and priorities, and experience in leadership, program management, stakeholder engagement, and delivering complex health or community-focused initiatives. Highly desirable experience with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health programs.
