Job Summary
Assistant Director at Round Lake Beach KinderCare partners with the Center Director to lead teaching staff, support families, and achieve enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives. Educate parents, teachers, and leaders on the value of early childhood education and translate that value into real outcomes for children. Serve in various roles as needed to support center operations, including collaboration with families, licensing authorities, and corporate partners; ensure developmentally appropriate practices are implemented in the classroom and drive center success through relationship-building and program administration.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of early childhood education experience
- understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and ability to apply in classroom
- Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Meet state specific guidelines for the role
- Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
