Job Summary
Assistant Director at The Learning Experience Grand Prairie Forum Drive leads day-to-day center operations in a licensed childcare environment. Serves as a bridge between staff and the Center Director, coordinating staff scheduling and enrollment, guiding curriculum planning, conducting classroom observations, providing feedback to teachers, maintaining center files in compliance with licensing rules, coaching staff, managing family relationships and tours for prospective families, organizing community marketing events to raise enrollment, and ensuring health, safety standards are met. The role requires building a positive, nurturing environment for children, supervising Lead Teachers, and partnering with the Center Director and Owners to meet enrollment and retention goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and a smooth operation.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of center leadership/management experience
- Current Texas Child Care Director or Associate credential or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Meet state-specific education guidelines for the role
- Experience in a licensed child care facility
- Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
- CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Fingerprint clearance through DOJ
- Immunizations
- Demonstrate strong caregiving and safety practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
