Job Summary
Assist Program Director with day-to-day operations and program planning for a residential, therapeutic program serving severely mentally ill and homeless adults. Supervise Clinical and Operations staff, oversee related departments, co-facilitate staff meetings, assist with program reporting, and provide crisis intervention. Provides emergency first aid/CPR as needed; working hours are Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with some variation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and three years of managerial experience in a shelter setting; Master’s in Social Work preferred; bilingual Spanish is a plus; CPR certification or willingness to obtain training. Location is Queens, NY; on-site full-time role within NYC with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- Three years managerial experience in a shelter system setting required
- Masters in Social Work preferred
- Experience with severely and persistently mentally ill individuals; experience with MICA/homeless population a plus
- Proficiency in Office, Word and Excel programs; bilingual Spanish a plus
- CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR
