Job Summary
Direct Support Professional duties include providing hands-on support with kindness and respect to individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges, assisting with personal care (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing, daily living skills), following individualized care plans and documenting progress, administering medications per policy, maintaining a safe environment, applying approved behavior support techniques, and encouraging community engagement. Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a valid U.S. driver’s license with specified driving-history requirements; ability to lift 50+ lbs is also needed.
