Job Summary
Assistant Dietary Manager assists the Dietary Manager in overseeing daily food-service operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Responsibilities include supervising the dietary team, recruiting and coaching staff, scheduling to ensure adequate shift coverage, coordinating with facility staff, physicians, consultants, and vendors, maintaining records for personnel, inventory, and equipment, inspecting meals for quality, ensuring meals align with standardized recipes and therapeutic diets, managing special nourishments, overseeing safe receiving, storage, and preparation of food per HACCP guidelines, updating dietary records and patient nutritional profiles, supporting care planning and documentation (including MDS sections), and demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills while ensuring regulatory compliance and food safety.
