Job Summary
Assistant Development Officer, Athletics advancement coordinates annual giving programs and events, manages a portfolio of annual giving prospects, and oversees stewardship initiatives for the Athletics Department. The role collaborates on alumni engagement initiatives such as reunions and departmental awards programs, assists with fundraising initiatives established by department leaders and Lindenwood’s Board of Trustees, and coordinates donor acknowledgement and stewardship activities. Strong emphasis on relationship-building with individual donors, alumni, foundations, corporations, and friends of the University; requires effective communication, coordination with leadership teams, and the ability to work within a donor-centric fundraising environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an advancement position or position with transferrable skills; internship or student employment experience can be used to meet this requirement
- Experience with Raiser's Edge preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward annual gifts of $1,000 and above
