Assistant Designer –Lead Designer -Telecommunications Designer

Job Summary
Designs and prepares telecommunications plans and related systems using Revit, CAD, and BIM; performs cost estimates and studies; researches and proposes technical solutions aligned with standards; participates in preparing specifications and bid analyses; provides technical support throughout project execution; verifies shop-drawing compliance; updates plans per approved changes; participates in validating deficiency lists for project acceptance; conducts tests and measurements; writes reports; participates in technical meetings representing the discipline; works on large-scale multidisciplinary projects; prepares design plans for telecommunications systems and structured cabling (radio, telephony, public address, access control, data transmission, fibre optics, etc.); performs inspections and field surveys; participates in equipment commissioning; provides technical assistance during implementation (RFI, approval of shop drawings, EDs, SIs, etc.). Also holds a DEC in telecommunications and has knowledge of TIA and BICSI standards; proficient with AutoCAD and Revit; strong collaboration, interpersonal, customer orientation, time/priority management, analytical, responsibility, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma (DEC) in telecommunications
- 1 to 10 years of experience in telecommunications systems design
- Knowledge of TIA and BICSI telecommunications standards
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software (asset)
- ASP Construction card (an asset)
