Job Summary
Assist in the design and development of seasonal children’s apparel from concept through sample development (infant–16), creating flat sketches, colorways, and detailed tech packs; collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams (Sales, Merchandising, Technical Design, Production) to ensure alignment with brand direction, SKUs, and client needs; coordinate with vendors to track samples and ensure timely deliveries; conduct trend and color research and help prepare seasonal concept boards, fabric direction, and silhouette presentations; maintain organized design files and tech pack archives while multitasking in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 1–3 years of experience (internships or freelance work a plus)
- Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and embellishments
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; Photoshop a plus
- Ability to create clean flats and assist with tech pack development
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow within a design team
