Job Summary
Train and develop Product Sales Specialists while ensuring exceptional customer service and product information. Direct all associates to maintain accurate merchandising, pricing, and organization, and communicate standard operating procedures and changes. Process customers at check-out, handle refunds and exchanges, and present how-to classes. Complete product specialist certification courses, Industrial Truck proficiency testing, and drive the company philosophy on the basic P's of retail. Stock and tag displays, create price tags, and validate product placement. Greet every customer, answer the telephone, and follow established cash and charge card procedures. Work Monday through Sunday in a warehouse environment with moderate to noisy levels, lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of customer service/sales experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to drive
- Industrial Truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Thorough understanding and compliance with the company's safe lifting practices standard operating procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to drive and teach the company philosophy around the basic P's of retail
- Thorough understanding of merchandise and installation
- Ability to greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner
- Ability to assist customers with product questions and selections
- Ability to process customers at check-out using the point of sale (POS) system
- Ability to process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
- Ability to present 'how-to' classes to customers
- Ability to follow established cash, check and charge card acceptance procedures
- Ability to answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines
- Ability to stock and tag merchandise displays as required
- Ability to create price tags and merchandise signs
- Ability to complete all product specialist certification courses
- Ability to communicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate inventory needs to management
- Ability to direct and assist the processing of merchandise to the showroom floor
- Ability to validate all product placement and pricing within the department
- Ability to provide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer service
- Ability to act and work in a manner that is consistent with company's core values
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and moving vehicles
- Ability to work moderate to noisy noise levels
- Ability to work Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Ability to work Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Ability to work Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
