Job Summary
Assistant Department Manager (Deco) oversees training and development of Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers have a positive shopping experience with exceptional service and product information. Responsibilities include directing product sales specialists, ensuring merchandising, pricing and organization of the department, completing certification courses, managing merchandise flow and pricing, communicating SOP changes, forklift proficiency, inventory needs, aisle/product placement, customer greetings and assistance, checkout procedures, refunds/exchanges, and presenting how-to classes. The role requires strong communication, multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment, and adherence to safety procedures. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
