Job Summary
Supervise all functions and activities in the Deli Department in the absence of the Deli Manager. Responsible for Deli Clerk performance, enforcing company policies, and overall operation of the Deli Department. Duties include greeting customers, assisting with cooking and food preparation, and directing hot foods operations. Requires at least one year of supermarket experience, strong communication skills, physical dexterity for food preparation, and the ability to lift weights.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience in the supermarket industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers and vendors
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise to their designated areas
- Dexterity in hands to enable slicing and preparing of deli products
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lbs) up to twenty percent (20%) of the time
- Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold up to twenty percent (20%) of the time
