Job Summary
Assist the Deli Manager by leading the deli team in an on-site role, providing supervision, employee coaching and performance evaluations, and ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities include hiring support, inventory management, enforcing health, sanitation and safety procedures, maintaining product quality and freshness, promoting department sales, answering customer questions, and upholding Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards. Requires a minimum of 6 months experience in deli/food service, a food handling permit within 14 days of hire, and a high school diploma or equivalent; comfortable with math and reading skills; able to operate deli equipment and maintain a clean, fully stocked department.
Required Qualifications
- A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment
- Minimum of (6) months previous experience in a deli, bakery, restaurant or food service operations position is required
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
