Job Summary
Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service while achieving budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli department. Maintain desired inventory levels, operate according to merchandising guidelines, and uphold product and sanitation standards. Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to staff to ensure satisfactory performance. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary. Maintain the department's labor budget and scheduling standards, and conduct PA announcements. Assist in all other duties as assigned by management. This role supports Lowes Foods' deli operations and offers a path to full Deli Manager status.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Knowledge of deli operations
- Ability to supervise people including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser
- Ability to work well with computers
