Job Summary
Assist Deli Manager by supervising the deli team in the manager's absence, drive operational effectiveness with motivation and respect, hire top-quality candidates through effective interviewing, coach and evaluate performance, resolve employee relations issues with the Deli Manager or HR, manage inventory and monitor product dates, coordinate supplier procurements, ensure proper rotation, enforce strict quality control, promote ads and specials to drive department sales, maintain department cleanliness and stock, provide strong customer service and interpersonal communication, and ensure compliance with health regulations, sanitation, and safety procedures while operating deli equipment and supporting cross-functional store goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of (6) months previous experience in a deli, bakery, restaurant or food service operations position is required.
- A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
