Job Summary
Assistant Deli Manager with Brookshire Grocery Company leads deli operations in-store, trains and directs partners, reviews sales and promotions data, co-manages inventory and in-stock levels, ensures food safety and quality standards, supports catering and deli packaging, and provides friendly customer service while promoting department sales and displays. Requires strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities, proficiency with scheduling software and inventory processes, and availability for flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Education includes a high school diploma or GED; certifications include Food Handler and Manager Food Safety; 18+ (and 21+ for driving per policy) as applicable to store operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required
- Food Handler certification required
- Manager Food Safety certification required
