Job Summary
Assistant Deli Manager responsible for delivering high-quality customer service and supporting the Department Manager in training and supervising deli staff. Responsibilities include planning daily production, conducting inventory, coordinating with store portal/in-store mailbox, resolving customer issues, greeting customers, preparing hot and cold deli items, displaying products in cases, offering samples and promoting sales, operating slicers and prep equipment, preparing fruit/seasonal trays, portioning product accurately by weight, restocking shelves, and ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and weights-and-measures regulations. The role requires reading/writing/basic math, English communication, multitasking under time constraints, and ability to work varied shifts in a temperature-controlled store environment in Meridian, ID.
