Job Summary
Assistant Dean of Students in Chicago, IL, reporting to the Dean of Students. Partner with the Dean and Principal to maintain a safe, positive learning environment, handle discipline, support classroom management, and lead culture and behavior initiatives. Responsibilities include documenting student records, guiding teachers on behavior management, MTSS/RTI participation, coordinating detention and in-school programs, and engaging families in attendance and student development efforts. Requires collaboration with staff, students, and families to uphold school safety, attendance, and socio-emotional growth, along with leadership tasks assigned by the Dean and Principal. Must have at least an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience in education or a related setting focused on student behavior.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associates OR Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years working in a school or clinical setting supporting student behavior
- Experience working within an educational or nonprofit setting (K-8th Grade Education Experience)
