Job Summary
Teach essential athletic skills, proper competitive attitudes, and graceful winning and losing to student athletes. Prepare for games, coordinate player development and skill levels, and adjust systems based on available personnel. Present the program positively to the community while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills with staff, parents, and other agencies. Work within WIAA, Bi-State League, and Pullman School District guidelines, collaborate with other school programs, and build support from players, students, and the community. Maintain high-quality performance in pressure situations with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Evidence of successful competitive playing and/or coaching experience
- Must be 19 years old per WIAA regulations
- Current First Aid/CPR card
Desired Qualifications
- College/University training or experience in the activity
- Coaching experience at the middle school level
