Job Summary
Instructs athletes in the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques as directed by the head coach; coordinates equipment handling, parent meetings, and practice/game scheduling; ensures compliance with CHSAA and league regulations; monitors students' grades and eligibility; supervises participants from practice to completion; guides student managers; promotes the sport within the school and recruits athletes; maintains safety and order, documents athletic injuries, and communicates schedules/results to news media; performs duties as assigned by the head coach and athletic director while upholding program policies and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and at the same time must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field
- Successful coaching experience in assigned sport
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
