Job Summary
As the Assistant Cottage Supervisor, you will provide oversight of programming, leadership, and supervision of all client activities and program staff in Applewood Centers' residential treatment for youth. You will ensure programming is functioning in line with state regulations and accreditations, provide hands-on and administrative supervision including scheduling, training and performance management, and ensure a high-quality Treatment Specialist team. Responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating schedules for safe coverage, supervising direct care staff, coordinating milieu/group/individual program services with therapists and case managers, handling disciplinary actions, contributing to staff evaluations, developing and implementing Development Action Plans, ensuring compliance with Personnel Policy Manual, documenting client responses and progress, recognizing staff achievements, and collaborating to optimize staff assignments and daily programming. All required trainings, certifications, and licensure must be kept current; maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards. Applewood Centers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work or Education. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience working with children with behavioral health needs and their families in a residential treatment, social service or mental health setting is preferred
- Flexible schedule to include some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Responsible for carrying agency provided cell phone and maintaining an on call schedule as assigned.
