Job Summary
Conduct factual investigations, draft responsive pleadings, and appear in federal court for individual and class action matters involving constitutional rights. Manage extensive fact and expert discovery, take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and engage in settlement negotiations. Serve as trial counsel when appropriate while representing the City in high-profile cases under federal law. Requires at least two years of litigation experience post-law school, admission to New York State and the SDNY/EDNY, and strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills. Offers flexible remote work options following orientation.
Required Qualifications
- at least two years of litigation experience after graduating from an ABA accredited law school
- admitted to practice law in New York State
- admitted to or eligible for immediate admission to the SDNY and EDNY
- Strong legal writing skills
- Strong oral advocacy skills
