Job Summary
As Assistant Corporate Controller in Nashville, you will own the month/quarter/year-end close process, lead the ERP implementation, and build out internal controls—working with a Controller who mentors. You will assess, rebuild, and enforce SOX controls; oversee AP/AR with a focus on automation and process improvement; manage, train, and develop the Staff Accountant team; and identify cross-functional process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Demonstrated experience owning most or all of the month-end close process
- Hands-on operational familiarity with AP/AR
- Experience in a public company setting (SOX, external reporting, audit-ready close)
- Prior involvement in an ERP implementation (any system, any phase)
- CPA is a plus
