Job Summary
Conduct administrative support for the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and act as second in charge during their absence. Serve as a mentor, tutor, activity leader, and sports coach while supervising school-aged children indoors and outdoors. Plan and coordinate curriculum, facilitate engaging student activities, and assist with learning assignments and homework. Provide outreach and communication to families, maintain a safe environment, and take attendance. Understand and implement emergency procedures and safety protocols. Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Tuberculosis Clearance
- Department of Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance criminal records summary
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with students
- Ability to work well with school-aged students
- Comfortable leading academic and enrichment activities with students
- Inform and communicate effectively
- Ability to work with diverse population
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Hearing and speaking to communicate and exchange information
- Seeing to observe accuracy of reports and documents
- Dexterity of hand and finger to operate office equipment
- Bending at the waist, kneeling, and reaching overhead, above shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and other items as needed
