Job Summary
Assist in all areas of production, serving, and cleanup under the Kitchen Manager. Perform cashiering duties during lunch when assigned. Interact with co-workers, administration, scholars, parents, and the community in positive, supportive, and cooperative ways. Maintain professional appearance and demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality. Work indoors in a moderate noise environment, occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. This role supports the GRPS mission to ensure scholars are educated, self-directed, and productive members of society.
Required Qualifications
- Food service production experience or the ability to learn
- Willingness to be trained in all areas of food production
- Must have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, proper sanitation and food handling procedures
- Consistently demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team
- Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Departmental Uniform and Personal Hygiene guidelines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both scholars and staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
