Job Summary
Assistant Cook at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green. Assist the Head Chef with menu preparation, cook and serve nutritious, balanced meals, accommodate special dietary needs, supervise junior kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef, liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients’ nutritional needs, maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensure compliance with health and safety and COSHH regulations, and operate within budget to plan nourishing meals. Requires a food hygiene certificate, good personal hygiene, professional communication, and DBS check; role involves working 38 hours across 4 days (including weekends) in a hospital kitchen setting.
