Job Summary
Senior-level accounting leadership role overseeing month-end close, general ledger integrity, cost accounting, inventory reconciliation, audits, and cross-functional partnerships with Operations, Production, and Supply Chain. Responsibilities include leading month-end/quarter-end/year-end close activities, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, analyzing variances and COGS, maintaining accurate general ledger and timely financial statements, overseeing cost accounting (standard costs, overhead absorption, BOM, production variances), supporting ERP/WMS integrations and process automation, and mentoring accounting staff. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/MBA/CMA preferred; 10+ years in manufacturing accounting; ERP experience; strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, MBA or CMA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting in a production environment
- Experience with ERP systems and migrations (Sage, Navision, MS Dynamics, etc.)
- Leadership attributes including emotional intelligence, team building, communication, strategic thinking, accountability, and agent of change
