Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller supports the Owners and Director of Finance in the daily financial and administrative operations of a multi-unit and location company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll-related reporting, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operational support across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include open and process company mail daily, manage accounts payable through the automation platform, enter and maintain payable records in QuickBooks, process daily sales transactions, file and pay monthly sales tax, reconcile vendor payment receivables, maintain financial spreadsheets and reporting (Payroll hours, revenue comparison), assist with financial recordkeeping and reporting accuracy across multiple locations, coordinate equipment repairs and replacements, liaise with landlords and utilities, coordinate location closures for maintenance or cleaning, schedule facility maintenance, assist with permitting and documentation, support operational projects and administrative processes, ensure tasks and reporting are completed accurately and on time, with a hybrid work schedule (two work-from-home days per week).
