Job Summary
As Assistant Controller in Irvine, CA, oversee daily and month-end accounting operations, lead a large team, drive streamlined processes and enhanced internal controls, coordinate with external auditors for audits and filings, ensure regulatory reporting and financial controls, and contribute to strategic goals through system implementations, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance and Financial Reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required – active status preferred
- At least ten years of related work experience – combination of public accounting with a Big 4 or 2nd tier national firm AND private industry experience within a large multi-entity operating organization
- Prior experience overseeing a corporate accounting function
- Advisory / Consulting experience involving system implementations and/or process improvement
- Media & Entertainment industry experience is highly preferred but not required
