Job Summary
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for multiple partnerships, LLCs, and operating entities at Denver International Airport, establishing a disciplined calendar and ensuring deadlines are met. Direct and develop a team of 14 Staff Accountants and 2 Senior Accountants while serving as a key leader in the 2026 transition from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct. Own consolidated financial statements, review complex intercompany transactions, and act as the primary contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits. Translate financial results into concise commentary for senior management and present clear financial statements with executive presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate reporting
- Minimum 5 years of successful people-leadership experience, including leadership of senior and professional accounting staff and a demonstrated ability to develop managers or team leaders
- Experience reviewing complex balance-sheet reconciliations and supporting high-quality, audit-ready workpapers
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Experience with fixed assets, treasury and debt covenant reporting, and CIP and capital expenditures
- Must successfully complete required airport security and background screening, including a federal background check
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Experience coordinating partnership and LLC tax work with outside tax professionals
- Hospitality industry experience in restaurant/retail
- Experience participating in or leading an ERP implementation, including business-process design, data validation, user acceptance testing, cutover, and adoption within the accounting organization
- Experience with ownership structures involving noncontrolling interests, partner capital, distributions, management fees, or shared-service allocations
