Job Summary
Lead month-end closing activities, prepare internal financial statements, and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage the GL Accounting team, train junior staff, and support Accounts Payable and Claims Billing functions as needed. Develop and maintain cost allocation methodologies, prepare monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses, and assist with annual audit preparations. Partner with department leaders to validate explanations for variances and ensure budgets align with organizational objectives. Requires a CPA license, five years of progressive accounting experience, and permanent U.S. work authorization. Located in AL, AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, KY, MO, NC, NV, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- More than five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in publicly traded companies and multi company environment
- Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and cost allocation
- Experience leading month close
- Strong understanding of month end close and adherence to meeting deadlines
- Permanent U.S. work authorization
- Residing in AL, AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, KY, MO, NC, NV, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, or WI

- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial models

- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
