Job Summary
Lead the full-cycle accounting operations for a Manhattan-based construction company, supervising accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, job costing and revenue recognition across multiple projects; ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and timely financial reporting; mentor junior staff; collaborate with project managers and executives to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for operational efficiency; CPA preferred and 8+ years of experience in construction or real estate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Construction or real estate experience strongly preferred
- Experience with GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, Sage 300, or similar) preferred
