Job Summary
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor cash flow, oversee payment approvals, and manage accounts payable and receivable activities including reconciliations and general ledger reviews. Coordinate external audits, maintain compliance with tax regulations, and supervise the accounting and controlling team while contributing to finance transformation initiatives. This full-time role in Aachen, Germany, reports to the Senior Finance Manager and requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with five years of progressive experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, financial controls, and accounting principles
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements and supporting external audits
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
- Experience using ERP or financial reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Syteline, OneStream, QuickBooks, or similar
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or revenue recognition
- Experience working within an international or matrix organization
- Experience supporting finance transformation or continuous process improvement initiatives
- German language skills
