Job Summary
Assistant Controller for Europe responsible for monthly financial statements at local and consolidated levels, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts, year-end audits, payroll processes, intercompany reconciliations, and ERP-related optimizations, with a focus on supporting Dutch entities and European-wide reporting. The role emphasizes driving process improvements, ensuring audit-ready financial information, collaboration with international finance teams, and delivering clear financial insights to senior management. Fluency in Dutch and English, strong Excel and ERP experience (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics), and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting
- Around 3+ years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting and payroll processes (including pensions and benefits)
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly
- Proactive and well-organised, able to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset
