Job Summary
Lead the Finance function as Assistant Controller in Kinshasa, overseeing external financial representation, compliance with regulations, and the external auditor relationship; manage and mentor the Finance team; coordinate with Product Managers on accounting and tax perspectives for new products; ensure timely financial reporting, integrity of accounting records, internal controls, and adherence to Wave’s values and ethics. Requires Master’s in Accounting/Finance, 8+ years of experience, fluency in French and English, and ability to work from the Kinshasa office with travel to field locations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Auditing/Accounting/Finance
- Experience with financial reporting requirements in RDC
- Experience managing tax audits
- Speak both French and English fluently
