Job Summary
Assistant Controller at Leica Microsystems (a Danaher operating company) on-site in São Paulo, Brazil. You will strengthen the global financial compliance and internal control framework, oversee monthly closing, financial reporting and analysis, and support digital transformation and automation for finance (e.g., smart robots and AI routines). You will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, lead the balance sheet review program, and partner with finance leaders and regional controllers to provide accounting insights for informed decision-making. The role requires deep US GAAP, SOX compliance expertise, ERP/BI proficiency (e.g., SAP, Blackline, OneStream), and fluent English. Travel up to 20% globally to spend time at Gemba. The position is an on-site role based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Economics or Finance
- Preferably additional qualification as Certified Tax Advisor, Chartered Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor
- Strong years of progressive accounting/controllership or audit experience, preferably in a multinational company environment and/or international audit firm (Big Four)
- Expert command of US GAAP, statutory regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
- High-level capability in ERPs and reporting platforms (e.g., SAP, Blackline, OneStream) and BI tools
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Travel availability up to 20% globally to spend time at Gemba Leica Microsystems
