Assistant Controller

Manage the Corporate Accounting staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and directing work to foster initiative-taking processes. Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and prepare timely internal financial reports in compliance with GAAP. Lead the annual external audit, manage audit work papers, and serve as the liaison with the external audit team. Oversee bank transfers for worker's compensation, health care, 401K, and tax payments, while calculating and filing monthly sales and use tax returns. Supervise physical inventories, cycle counts, and Construction-In-Progress records, supporting cost reduction initiatives to improve gross margins. Partner with mid and senior level management to manage department budgets and drive company growth initiatives.
